DEVELOPMENT: Development is an process of developing, Positive growth/changes, becoming more advanced in every fields etc.
What Development PROMISES? {Different Peoples, Different Goals} - Actually, the development for one individual may not be the development
for another individuals i.e what may be development for one may not be development for the other , Due to different Goals in different
persons.
Explanation: collect a group of people of various categories, the individual may be a daily-wage worker, poor person, farmer, Businessman
, Rich family etc.. if it is asked to all the collected peoples that "What is your aspirations/desire/requirement/goal" or what do you want to gain/achieve
in your Daily life? then their answers may vary from each other's, the poor person may demand that i only want meals for me because, i want
to survive, as well as daily-wage worker may demand full day work on a high wage paid salary although Businessman may want to explore/add
more products in his list. it means different peoples have different goals/desire. Here, Income plays a crucial role.
INCOME: It is money or some equivalent value that an individual receives, usually in exchange for providing a good or service or through investing capital.
that may be in end/starting or at any fix date of the month. Actually income decide your Investment, way of living, maintaining an standard in society. income
is the key which converts all the dreams of human being into reality, and makes our life easy & expensive. But by chance if Income is not that much enough,
then you may have to suffer/struggle a lot in your whole life.
*NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT- it is very important to keep in mind that different persons could have different as well as conflicting notions of a country's development.
How to Compare Different COUNTRIES or STATES? for comparison Between countries, the Average income(total income of country divided by its total population)
is considered which is also known as PER CAPITA INCOME.
In world Development Report by World Bank in 2012, Country with more than US$ 12616 per annum are called rich countries & countries with US$ 1035 or less are
called low-income countries. At that time INDIA had just US$ 1530 per annum.
PER CAPITA INCOME OF SELECTED STATES survey(2012): Maharashtra 1,07,670, Kerala 88,527 & Bihar 28,774. and their literacy rates are 82,94 & 62 simultaneously.
Maharashtra has the highest per capita income and Bihar is at the bottom. This means that on an average, a person in Maharashtra earned Rs.1,07,670 in one year whereas,
on an average, a person in Bihar would earn only around Rs.28,774. So, Maharashtra will be considered the most developed and Bihar the least developed state of three.
Fact: The Rich countries, excluding countries of Middle East and certain other small countries, are generally called developed countries.
# Money in your pocket cannot buy all the goods and services that you may need to live well. so, income by itself is not a completely adequate indicator of material goods and services that citizens are able to use.
